Dear friends and colleagues !
As we already informed you during this year, we will have a big celebration to honour the 150th birthday of Anton Pavlovich Chekhov in the provincial town Elez. It was this theatre in Elez, where Nina Zarechnaja was going to start her engagement for the winter. (Seagull, IV act).On this stage we play and listen to Chekhov scenes in different languages. Some of you will travel to this event.
But we like to invite ALL artists to travel with us in spirit and want to ask you to send for this event a postcard from your hometown or your theatre to Elez.Please do this within this week – the post travels to Russia not much faster then in Chekhov’s times.Send it to the following address:Dramatic theatre BENEFISNINA-PROJECT: 150 CHEKHOVKOMSOMOLSKAJA STR. 83ELETZLIPETSKAJA OBLAST 399770, RUSSIA
We hope the Elez theatre will receive hundreds of cards – it is our reverence to the great master, who himself created with Nina his reverence to the unknown actress, who despite of all her dreams in her youth never became famous, but revealed the mission of her profession.
